Serrahn and the heather land villages
A guided bike tour in which the natural and cultural landscape are in the foreground. My round trip connects the residential town of Neustrelitz with the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the forests around Serrahn in the Müritz National Park with the cultural landscape of the heath villages on the border to Brandenburg.
WHAT MAKES THIS TOUR SPECIAL?
We’ll experience a mix of a pinch of small town, forest largely preserved in its natural state and villages with cultural landscapes that have emerged over centuries. On the way there is also one of the most beautiful bathing lakes in the Mecklenburg Lake District, the sandy beach of which you should definitely know.
WHAT MUST BE CONSIDERED?
It is a day tour that includes 3-4 hours of pure driving time. It’s 50 km for which we have a lot of time. If you are traveling without an e-bike, you should bring a certain level of fitness. Short sections of the route are a little more strenuous. E.g. climbs in the Serrahn mountains. “Mountains” are of course to be understood here relatively – we are still in the north german lowlands.
WHY WITH ME?
You will not only drive along the route, but also get a deep insight into what the area is all about. Small tours in special places, observations, relaxed breaks on the way or in the café with a special feel-good factor.
Starting point and group size
You can freely choose the start / end point Neustrelitz, Goldenbaum, Waldsee, Hasselförde, Wokuhl-Dabelow, Fürstensee or nearby. Just ask me! I would like to take you on this tour in a small group of no more than 10 people. This allows me to react flexibly if you want to stay longer in one place or if you want to take a shortcut. Your experience is my focus.
